Carotid Artery Dissection and Pulsatile Tinnitus

I have had pulsatile tinnitus in left ear for several months. All day and wakes me up at night. Prior to this I was
receiving physical therapy for several herniated discs in my cervical spine. They also used cervical traction.
I don't know the timing exactly but it seems the tinnitus started about a month after the cervical manipulation.
Has anyone experienced pulsatile tinnitus as a result of carotid artery dissection? I can't get in to see ENT doc
for 3 weeks, so I want to maximize my time with him and make sure he requests the proper diagnostics. My
primary care made the referral to him (I don't think she really believes that I can hear my heartbeat in my ear).
From what I've read on this forum it seems there's a serious risk of stroke and I'm concerned about waiting 3
weeks to see the ENT. Would it be more appropriate to see a vascular surgeon who most likely would know
which tests to run? Also, I'm supposed to take a flight in two days. Am I at increased risk flying if it is CAD? I really appreciate anyone's thoughts/experiences with this.
