I had a heavy lifting injury about 6months ago that resulted in bad neck pain. I thought at the time it was muscle strain. It initially seemed to resolve. Then I started again with the pain especially after long shifts at work. Then right arm pain with numbness. Then every now and then I get a "zing" and some weakness that lasts only for a second in both legs and only happens when I am walking.
My Mri results are as follows and my question is:
1.since I do heavy lifting sometimes 12 hrs per day what are the chances of the disc that is compressing the canal to actually extend and compress the cord?
2. I am scheduled for an EMG next it seems that will be the determining factor regarding surgery. is that true?
