Chronic Radiculophay

What is the difference between chronic peripheral neuropathy and chronic radiculopathy?   My neurosurgeon diagnosed me with chronic neuropathic pain and my pain management dr. diagnosed me with chronic radiculopathy.   I am on about 7 different medications for this, plus I have a neurostimilator implanted.   I still am not able to lead an active life, more sedentary than anything else.   Would an implanted pain pump be better for me--my pain management dr. says that is the last resort.   I have to continue to work since I am a single lady and support myself.   Please give advice.  Thanks

Getting the pain pump should be last resort. Many people return due to infection and need the pump replaced, which creates more scar tissue and more risk for infection. Just my experience.

It really doesn't matter.  They both cause nerve pain and neither are curable except if a cause and treatment is found like lyme or a herniated disk pushing on a nerve.  Peripheral   neuropathy is feet, legs hands, mostly felt in extremities.  A radiculopathy can be in certain areas like lumbar, cervical etc...I guess the pain pump woud be a decision between you and your doctor.  I'm sorry for your problems.  It sounds horrible.
