Conversion Disorder
Does anyone know of a Doctor who know about conversion Disorder and how to cure it? I am looking for my brother who is in pain all the time from shaking. He doesn't have MS. Please if there is anyone who know anything about this disorder please hlep Thank You.
I am looking for a Decated Doctor, Psychologist, Psychiatrics, and Someone who practices acupotomy in South Florida who knows how to treat a patient who has converstion disorder. He has already been diagnosed. I need help FINDING Doctors who know what they are doing and not just SAY they know and make the sistuation worst because his anxiety builds up when they finally tell him that they can't help him.

He has been diagnosed with conversion disorder in Mass. and now he is living in Florida. He has already seen two Psychiatrist who don't know how to handle him. I need a Doctor who has treated patients with this disorder and has helpe the patients. I hate going to a Doctor who said he can help and alls he/she is doing is charging the Insurance Co. and not helping at all. Then the depresssion and anxiety seems to get worst with frustration.
Do you know of any Doctors/Psychiatrists who work together to cure this disorder.

Well, without knowing the relevant clinical details or a detailed clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your symptoms and without a diagnosis at hand it would be difficult to suggest management plan. Possible cause that may need to be considered include seizures, neuro-degenerative disorders, neuro-psychiatric causes etc. If a diagnosis of a conversion disorder has already been made by a medical professional, she would need to be seen by a psychiatrist for appropriate management.
