Disturbung Tingling sensation in head

Recently I've been experiencing chills and a pins in needles sensation in my head, probably as a result of some trauma that "remains" in my body (my legs still tremble a bit). When doing TRE (trauma release exercises) it seems that instead of that 'energy' going through my body it occasionally decides to go through my brain instead. I'm very concerned about this as a year ago this happened to the extreme and effectively left me feeling like my brain was covered in metal pins, loss of executive functioning and burning with stress hormones. I'm not going to let that happen again I'm over it all but rarely it still pops back. I'd like to know what is the cause of the tingling (Google says stress hormones and increased blood to the brain) and if this is gonna get worse, if u relate, and what to do about it. It's a horrible feeling.
