Dizziness/Fatigue/Left Side Pain

Hello there,

I'm not 100% sure if this is neurology related or not but I can't seem to get help.

For over a month now I've been experiencing what I would say is dizziness/lightheadedness.  It's not that the room is spinning but my head feels shaky when I do things or just move my head side to side.  Right now I'm getting a headache in the top/back/left side of my head, and some kind of pressure in my forehead.  I'm fatigued all the time even a little after I wake up and I don't sleep well (I either sleep only 4-5 hours, or I sleep 6 or so broken hours of sleep).  Sleep problems have been around for awhile, and my mother and grandmother have sleep apnea and I'm booked at a sleep clinic but I've become accustomed to this sort of amount of sleep and never had problems fully functioning before.  I've also been having left upper rib cage aches and left arm heaviness/ache.

I've had blood tests done; sugar, hemoglobin, iron, b12, etc and everything came back normal. I experienced chest pain and had bloodwork, chest xrays, a VQ scan at the hospital, a stress test and a holter monitor and they came back normal too. Earlier in July I was experiencing stomach pains and bowel movements but a colonoscopy and gastroscopy showed nothing abnormal too.

My doctor after resistance is referring me to a neurologist but said he doesn't know what else to do and cant run more tests and suggested I go to a good emergency room.  I find that ridiculous.  I'm not sure what else to do it's really daunting and making me stressed/frustrated.

I'm 26 years old and of relatively good health.  Before all of this in the spring time I was active with soccer 3-4 times a week without problem. Only the sleeping problem was around then/

Any help please and thank you!
Johnny

Were you ever able to get a diagnosis?  If not did you ever end up feeling better?  I know this is long ago and no one replied but I have been through very similar issues.

Hello i saw that you were interested in another post that was never resolved and which I also experienced similar symptoms and thought that if you were still experiencing these symptoms that it might be postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS). It took a while, but my doctor diagnosed me with this and put me on Florinef and I have noticed things get better. People with POTS often feel really tired and pass out quite a bit depending on how severe the case is. My doctor said that basically my blood isn't flowing all over my body as efficiently as it could be and that when I go from laying down to sitting or standing or any more extreme movements my heart rate drastically increases and I feel light headed because my blood has been settled in a laying position and can't keep up with the quick movement to an upright position. Hopefully this helps!
