I just had an MRI done yesterday and here are the impressions, can someone please explain in layman's terms? 1. No significant change or acute intracranial abnormality. 5 mm right frontal white matter T2 hyperintensity, with a few additional punctate foci, stable since 2012, nonspecific but likely chronic gliosis from remote insult. 2. Mild cerebellar tonsillar ectopia is likely incidental. It does not meet typical criteria for Chiari 1 and no secondary findings to suggest CSF hypovolemia. I have frontal lobe epilepsy, if this helps any.
