Dull pain on lower left quadrant

I have this dull pain located in my lower left quadrant near my ear.  It has been there for a couple of weeks and I seem to notice only when I go to bed but not sure if that is when I have the chance to really "listen" to my body.  It is quite annoying.  Almost feels like I slept wrong but the pain is my head, not my neck.  What could this be?
