Eyelid Twitch

Hello,
I just have a question about eyelid myokymia. My top left eyelid has been quivering/tremoring for about 3 weeks. I am quite concerned about it. What are the chances that this is a brain tumor or MS?
Thanks a lot.

Hi, Thank you for your question. Most of the times these twitching symptoms occur without any underlying disorder & they are not harmful or may appear after anxiety, viral illness/or long term illness. But sometimes this muscle twitching appears as atrophy and weakness of muscle as well. Most likely cause of this twitching can be when the nerve supplying to eye muscle is not functioning properly due to any neurological disorder. Please arrange an appointment with a neurologist right away who will evaluate the possibilities here. Hope this information proves helpful to you. Take Care & Regards!!!
