Sorry I should have added low folic acid outside of pregnancy. The doctors here can't figure out why I am folic acid deficient but my symptoms are extreme dizziness and flushing. Thank you for your help!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello and hope you are doing well.

Folic acid deficiency causes anemia. In pregnancy, folic acid helps prevent neural tube defects, such as spina bifida. These birth defects usually happen in the first few weeks of pregnancy, before a woman even knows she is pregnant.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
