Gravis! need opinion and differential diagnosis

Hello..I had a CT scan 3 times in the last year. My thymus has grown from 3.3cm to 2.0cm 3-3-2010, 3.4 x 2.1 cm 5-18-10, 3.8 x 2.3 cm 8-2-2010. The doc said its only a Thymoma but my vision is blurry and i was recently given glasses for it but my left eye drops lower than my right, my limbs are weak and have been getting progressively worse for years and i waddle when walk...heat makes it worse as does activity but after I rest I'm ok....my Veterans Admin doc doesnt say its gravis and refuses to send me somewhere else! How do i get checked for gravis? Does it sound like gravis? What should I do and how do i get my doc to listen to me

Thank you...as I said before they already found the Thymoma. I presented first with fatigue, limb pain & weakness, blurred vision, trouble swallowing, trouble breathing, chest pain, and last year they found the Thymoma. I have had blood test that say I have high creatine and hypoklemia?(sp)....I get worse in heat and tire very easily. My doc has already wanted me to get a Thymectomy but I'm leary of surgery. Are there any alternatives to shrink the thymus

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there. You need a thorough physical examination to check for easy fatigability with weakness improving after rest and going worse on repeat exertion testing. Serological testing is required to check for antibodies like against acetylcholine receptor, against MuSK protein,  SFEMG or single fiber electromyography, is the most sensitive, edrophonium test, chest x ray to rule out Lambert Eaton syndrome, thymoma, which can be confirmed by CT/MRI. Pulmonary function testing, and muscle biopsy to confirm the diagnosis. Thymectomy may be indicated in certain cases though controversial. Consult your neurologist for best advice. Hope this helps. Take care.

Also add...I first noticed leg cramps and fatigue after a hernia repair 6 six years ago and thought the cause was post herriopathy pain syndrome and given a cane to help me walk...2 years ago i was seen in eye care and given glasses...1 1/2 years ago i had a CT done and they found the Thymoma. I also have nights that i wake up sweating and once had a fit of not being able to get my breathe until i relaxed and slowed my breathing. Sounds like gravis to me anyone else know or can help..plz cause my doc at the VA isn't doing anything to help
