Headaches

My 16 year old granddaughter has had severe headaches for the last year.  Nothing helps and on most days the pain level is 8 out of 10.  She has been to the doctor many times.  She had a MRI and a CAT Scan last year.  Both were normal. Recently she complained of ringing in her ears along with the headache.  Today she had to be dismissed from school and stated she was having problems speaking.  She is very lethargic and has lost about 8 pounds in the last few weeks because of not being able to eat.  As a premature baby, she had hemangioma on her eye and shoulder.  Could this be of interest.  We are at the end of our rope because we can't seem to get any help for her.  She suffers all the time and has missed a lot of school.  She saw a neurologist a few years back for back problems and has an appointment to see him again. Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you, Mikki, a worried grandmother.

Yes, my granddaughter has been told it sounds like a migraine; however, I never heard of a migraine that never goes away.  She tried the med for it, but didn't help and made her sick.  Thank you for your concern.
