Hole in brain

What could be the cause of a 4mm hole in the brain of a healthy 26 year old male?

Usually the radiologist who reads the MRI will suggest possibilities for the cause, did you read the report? what did his doctor think it was?  perhaps he had a past infection that healed, like a small abscess? Some have a tear in the lining around the brain which can cause cerebral spinal fluid leak, can be spontaneous. You didn't say where exactly it is. Good luck!

He has complained of lightheadedness & tingleing in his extremeties in the past.  He doesn't remember hitting his head.  MRI has ruled out cancer

A brain cyst can appear as Hole in brain on MRI/CT. Can you provide some more datails? MRI findings? Patient complaints etc.?
