Focal dystonia

Hi,

My husband was diagnosed with focal dystonia and his on treatment with botulin toxin (Dysport). His problem is the left leg (left lower limb), he cannot walk properly and his quality of life is very low  and his mood as well.

The last injection was 3 weeks ago but till now we see no improvements and I can say it was better before the injection.

We have a prescription for Levodopa as well from our neurologist but we need to wait 2 months after the toxin  before starting the treatment.

I really want to have your precious opinion about this and if there are any experimental studies where my husband can join.

What is your opinion about botulin toxin?

Is there any chance to cure focal dystonia?

Thank you,
