A well conditioned 82 year old male. Exercise 5 days week, golf three times week and care for home and lawn. Have had lumbar arthritis surgery in June 2015. Have confirmed neuropathy in both feet. Have moderate pain in lower back from lumbar/sciatic nerve. Self and doctors cannot diagnose pain all over body.. starts in the AM 15 minutes after rising.. terrible calf pain. Seems muscles are tight and when I start walking they explode. Must sit down unable to stand. That eases off by sitting.. then when I get up again the pain returns but tolerable. I am able o walk short distances during the day until around 3:00 Pm at which time my body aches as if I have a heavy flu. Pain is whole body and seems to be mental also because the pain source is unidentifiable. To tolerate the pain at around 4:00 Pm i take about 1/4 7.5 mg hydrocodone. Pain leaves immediately but have to take another in about three hours. I am under the care of an GP, Spine surgeon and neurologist. We are searching for new ideas or thoughts. Tests, medication or procedures are candidates.. I take 1200 Mg neurontin, 30 mg cymbalta, 50 mg Tramodal [2 day]....this is very traumatic... any thoughts are welcome.. relief is worth a fortune
