Isolated spot on scalp - random sensation hairs being lifted

For over three years, I have had one quarter sized spot on the upper top right side of my head that randomly felt like someone lifting hairs very lightly, or like a bug is moving hairs. It is only an odd lifting sensation.  There is:
• No itching
• No burning
• No bugs
• No marks
• No baldness
• No rash.

After several years in the same exact spot, it moved locations about a month ago. It no longer does it at the original spot, and now does it on the same side of my head, closer to/over my temple. It is much more frequent now.

No known illness and healthy lab-work. I am female in my early 50's with TMJ, and a bad case of menopause.  I haven't noticed any pattern between the sensations (that sometimes will go on much of the day!) and my random hot flashes.

I have never been diagnosed with any sort of migraine other than my one round of an ocular migraine that happened the same year I got sudden adult onset (permanent) double vision. Due to the double vision, I had an MRI but it showed no issues or probable cause for the sudden vision issues. My vision is corrected now with prism glasses.  My scalp sensations started about the same time (and definitely within that same year).

Curious if anyone else has had this and if so, was there ever a diagnosis? I am suspecting neurological. I won't have good medical insurance to see a doctor until January, but that is okay considering I have lived with it for years now. Just wondering if anyone else out there has this.

Update: I was since diagnosed with neuralgia. In fact several types - Occipital and Trigeminal. They believe the odd sensations and the burning sensations are also neurological.

Adding: My sudden onset double vision was diagnosed as "Esophoria" of unknown origin.  If any of you have that AND the odd scalp sensations I would especially like to hear from you.
