Thank you for your reply. I do have referrals to a Neurologist and an ENT as I have several sinus problems as well going on.
This is what the CT says:
HEAD:
The sulci, cisterna nd ventricles are normal in appearance. Calcification noted near the foramen of monro as well as ossification along the anterior falx and along the anterior frontal just subcalvarial. Normal density to the gray and white matter. NO evidence for mass or mass effect. No midline shift. Bony calvarium normal in appearance.
Sinus:
Frontal sinuses are clear. Sinuses are hypoplastic. Ethomoid sinuses are clear. Maxillary sinuses demonstrate mucosal thickening at the osteomeatal units bilaterally. Possible occlusion on the right. The left is not seen as patent. There is some rightward septal deviation with a right sided septal spur.
The mucosal thickening is greater on the right than left.
Thank you for your question. Although without being able to examine you I can not offer you the specific advice on diagnosis that it may be a meningioma or cyst, but I would try to provide you some relevant information about your health concern.
Meningioma or brain cyst may remain asymptomatic for long years. But if it is large it can cause headache, paralysis, seizures and gait disorders. Therefore, surgical intervention is essential to remove the large cyst and if permanent damage needs to be avoided. Craniotomy, needle aspiration and cerebral shunts are common surgical treatment that may help. Please consult a neurologist right away in this regard. Hope this helps.
