Kydney or viral?

Hello,
my son he is 14 years old has only one kidney hiper and small kidney funtion a little bit, they told me It was a bad luck , because on  his neo o pre natal he had trombosis vein,clot which nobody in my family has. Do you think this could be related to a viral infection?

Hi,

Sorry to hear about your son's problem. Yes, neonatal viral infection, especially cytomegalovirus infection can lead to thrombosis.
