MG or MS

uk2
Hi all

I have had a sudden onset of sx from Jan 2007 starting with eye muscles jaw problems and muscle weakness top to toe muscle spasms.

My sx start ok in morn but as i use my muscle more they get so fatiuged, i have swallowing differculties, jaw aching in chewing food.

I have arm and leg weakness and hip and shoulder weakness my right leg is the worst and there is visable muscle loss and my reflexes have always been norm but recenlty in jan 2009 i ended up in A&E for vertigo and face problems the right side of my face where my jaw hurts feels stiff and frozen almost and he suggested seeing a neuro again ( i had MRI done in 2007 for MS and all negative although done on a weak t with no contrast as in uk and on NHS) i got worse and my legs are so weak now i cant walk more then a few feet without them feeling like lead and shaking and going under me, they dx fibro in 2008 jan and tried physio and hydro all made it worse ( all exercise does but rest helps) and i have carried on getting worst and now am on disabilty and have not worked since may 2007.

My question is,is this MS or should i get tested for MG when i go to the neuroscience hospital in london soon for an urgent appointment ( though still waiting)

I have vertigo as well which my ENT thinks is central and could be linked or a separate issue.

i get what i think was the MS hug but get breathless with it.

Do you get spasms with MG? cause i have bouts of top to toe body spasms that have come in flares in the past 2 yrs. i sweat loads get soaked at night, eyes are sore and my eye lids droop at night and the left eyelid is getting heavier as the day goes on.

I just feel the weakness has got so bad in 2 yrs and if it was fibro it would of responded to the many drugs and theapy i was given as i went from an active mum of 3 working 30 hrs a week jogging with my dogs 5 miles a day on my days off, then the eyes and neck got weak then my shoulders and arms and hips and legs now my swallowing is effected and my jaw and chewing has always been a problem even sitting up at the end of the day is hard work.

Could this be MG? or MS but i dont think its fibro any advise

please a singal mum of 3 girls and so confused.

sam
