Thanks Paul,
In some looking up on the net i got to the understanding that a bulging disk is not to much to worry about and does not cause problems with pain ?also there is a spot on my thoracic spine that if it is touched it feels bruised all of the time.when i bend over for any lenght of time the whole bottom of my back goes cold and it feels like little spots of water falling inside it.(i find this very hard to explain)and when i have been sitting for any lenght of time trying to stand up,i feel as if my back is bent and it does take it a couple of minutes to straighten out, could this problem i have be linked to the bulging disk ?or i now suspect it could be lower than i have been explaining it to everybody and maybe i am just getting some reffered pain,I have had a couple of sessions of phiso and when he hit this bruised feeling spot in my back it felt like both my shoulders were going to lock up if i did not sit up from a lieing position they would of,this is how the mri scanwas requested and the results have been looked at by a surgeon and i do not think he is to concerned by the results.
can anybody try to make sence of all this and come up with some answeres of what is happening to me.
Hi there.
In your scan, there is mention of this bulging disc at the T2 and T3 level. While this does not cause any neural or spine compromise, I believe that this can still significantly cause irritation and compression of other nearby structures causing your pain. Another possible explanation for your symptoms is fibromyalgia, which is related to lack of sleep, anxiety and stress.
I think that this would warrant a multidisciplinary team approach, consisting of a spine surgeon, a rehabilitation medicine specialist, and a pain specialist.
Regards.
