I am 33 years male and recently underwent MRI scanning on the advice of doctor. Below is the MRI report ( Brain ) Please suggest me if there is something alarming.
MRI Report - Brain
Technique:
MRI of brain was dne using various T1W and T2W sequences in various planes
Findings :
Multiple peri ventricular acute and chronic lacunar infarcts with peri ventrcular oedema. Normal cerebral hemispheres otherwise and normal cortical gray matter and white matter tracks. There is no intraaxial or extraaxial mass lesion apprecaited.
Prominent sulci and Gyri
Normal basal ganglia and thalami. Normal internal and external capsules.
4th ventricle, 3rd ventricle, and lateral ventricles are wideend. No midline shift. Septum Pellucidum is midline.
Normal midbrain, pons and medulla Oblongata and a normal brainstem cervical cord junction.
Normal vermis and cerebellar hemispheres . Folia prominent.
Normal calvarium
Normal temporal bones.
Normal central skull base
Normal clivus and craniovertebral junction
Impression :
Multiple peri ventricular lacunar infaracts.
Diffuse peri ventricular oedema
Both temporal bones are normal
Bilateral maxillary sinusitis
