MRI negative for pinched nerves

I've been having extreme burning, pins and needles down both my legs and glueteus maximus.  I also have weakness in both my leg muscles.  I get involuntary muscle twitches in my thighs and my calves.  I had an MRI which came back negative for pinched nerves.  My doctor didn't like my muscle reflexes, when the muscle was supposed to stop, it kept jerking, this is why the MRI was done, however they didn't find anything?  This has been going on for 3 years now, and since the first year has progressivley gotten worse.  This started after an accident.  Is there anyone out there that has had these problems, might shed some light.  I'm only 22!, and walking is an effort.  I also wake up at night because it feels like my lower body is being shocked!

Where was the pinched nerve, and what was MRI done with. I have a pinched nerve in my neck ,a nd my neurologist, told me that further testing will have to be done, concerning something else , not to do totally w the pinched nerve. I am finding its alot of testing and not always just one or two, for these issues I have never been so frazzled.Hope you feel better

Has your DR recommended an EMG or a mylogram. An EMG will show if theres nerve damage or muscle damage.A mylogram are more useful in tracking nerves if they feel they are impinged or damanaged.
