Hi there. Micro vascular brain disease is a collective term for vascular arteriolar pathology, metabolic endocrinal abnormalities and hemorrhagic abnormalities. Clinically one has cerebral ischemic events that have a tendency to recur and progress to multi infarct dementia. These ischemic events are associated with depression, parinsonian manifestations and essential hypertension.. theendocrinal and metabolic abnormailites include non insulin dependent diabetes, type IV hyperlipidemia , truncal obesity and hyperuricemia. Consult your neurologist for further details. Take care.
