I'm a 14-year-old girl and I started getting migraines about two years ago. I would lose a considerable amount of my vision, get a pounding headache and occasionally have nausea associated with it as well. The episodes would last from 45 minutes to 2 hours. Usually, I would just sleep them off. After a year or so, they started coming more frequently (every week) so I told my parents and I was taken to the doctor. They told me that those episodes were migraines. They recommended I take melatonin and magnesium every night to prevent them. It worked for the fort 2.5 months until I started having them again every two weeks. I haven't been back to a doctor since the original visit but new symptoms concern me. I've been experiencing extreme dizziness for days at a time, random pain in the right side of my head, blind spots in the center of my vision at night, flashing lights in my vision during the day, and multiple blind spots while reading. This may be nothing but I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced similar things. (Also a side note: I got my first migraine 20 minutes after being poked in the eye accidentally at school)
