Worried about Menstral Problems

For the last 6 months I have been having 2 periods a month. From start to start has been averaging about 13 days. (when younger I had short periods averaging about 21 days) I stopped taking my Birth Control Pills about 3 months ago hoping that my body would figure itself out. My periods are extremely painful and very heavy with lots of clots. They do only last 3-4 days. Oh, and I have had some irregular bleeding inbetween those twice a month periods also. Within the past month I've been having a dull cosistant "cramp-like" ache inbetween periods. I am only 25 years old, recently married. I have also recently moved and can not schedule an OBGYN appointment for another 3 months due to being a new patient.  What can I do to make this better?
