Muscles contract in foot

Anyone have any experience with possible peripheral neuropathy and muscles that contract in the bottom of your foot and make your toes curl under?

Curious if nerve conduction tests are painful?

HI, I too have had the toe curling and the EMG testing...it was very uncomfortable.

the toe curling was very painful also. My dx is chiari,DDD,hashimoto's,raynauds....and a couple other conditions. I was told it was most likely a neuro issue.....I was also told vitaminand minerals at low levels could cause some of the cramping......

I am interested to see what ur drs find out.

Good luck

I had the nerve conduction test because I had the toe curling in my right foot when I excercised. The nerve conduction was uncomfortable but not painful. It just causes your muscles to twitch. BTW, not to be scary or anything but they think I have Parkinson's DIsease and the toe curling (along with my right arm not swinging when I walk) are presenting symptoms.

Hi.

In some cases, a peripheral neuropathy can cause curling of the toes, as well as spreading of toes and other symptoms.

With regards to your nerve conduction test query, the test is not invasive, but can be a little painful due to the electrical shocks. However, the shocks are not dangerous.

Hope this helps.
