Neck Pain/MRI report

My MRI report came back after a WCB doctor performed a cervical axial load on my person. I am in extreme pain and had to wait 3mos just to get the MRI. It is now 6mos. later and still no change in my status. MRI reads: C5-6 braod based disc ostoephyte complexx indenting ventral thecal sac and abutting ventral cord. C6-7 small central disc osteophyte complex indenting ventral thecal sac,  reversal of normal cervical lordosis. I can feel pain that travels through my brain and exits out my right eye, I am nauseated and vomitting and constantly dizzy. After theis cervical axial load was performed, I had the worse headache in my life and within an hour I was trying to drive home and had to stop many times to vomit. I am not getting the help I need from my physcian and WCB is stating that this pain is all in my brain. I have alot of difficluty performing My daily acts of living. Need help so that I can further educate myself and advocate for Myself. Any help would be great;ly appreciated. Thank You

Thanks for using the forum. I am happy to address your questions, and my answer will be based on the information you provided here. Please make sure you recognize that this forum is for educational purposes only, and it does not substitute for a formal office visit with a doctor.

Without the ability to examine and obtain a history, I can not tell you what the exact cause of the symptoms is. However I will try to provide you with some useful information.

A concerning cause of neck pain associated with headache is a dissection: a small tear in the blood vessels that travel up the neck to the brain. This can occur spontaneously in people with certain conditions that affect the blood vessels, after neck trauma, or after chiropractic manipulation of the neck. The pain is often but not always associated with some sort of neurologic deficit as a dissection can often lead to a stroke. A dissection is diagnosed with a specific type of MRI test (MRA with fat saturation) or an CT angiogram.

I highly suggest you have vessel imaging performed to rule out dissection.

Thank you for this opportunity to answer your questions, I hope you find the information I have provided useful, good luck.
