Nerve problem in hip/groin?

For the past few weeks I've had on and off nerve pain in my left hip/groin and upper leg. It isn't even so much pain as discomfort. I want to figure out what is going on. No other symptoms. Randomly I feel a discomfort or new sensation. Sometimes it is just in my left groin area, inside the hip. Other times it alternates from my hip to my left upper quad or even occasionally alternates from my hip to my left calf. It happens more when I am moving than when I am lying down. My thoughts are a trapped nerve but I'm not sure. It hasn't gotten worse but has stayed pretty much the same. I'm worried that is could be something more sinister, such as a growth in my ovary or lymph nodes that could be compressing a nerve. However, since it hasn't been severe or constant I don't know that I need to see a doctor (I don't know what they would do for me). I not really interested in taking medication I just want to know what it causing it so I can fix it.

On a related note, I noticed the other day two small bumps on my left pelvic region that seem bigger that the same ones on my right side. They are hard and feel deep (not part of the skin). They do not hurt to touch. Are these lymph nodes? It's possible they've always been that size (the size of a small pea). However maybe they are compressing the nerve?

Background information: I am a 28 year old female, overall good health, no history of ovarian cysts (or any other kind of cysts), was on birth control pills for 8 years straight, now have a hormonal IUD, have a history of anxiety.
