Neuro-otologist on here?

I am a music producer that got a bad case of tinnitus and a slight hearing loss notch at 12k
due to a series of hyperbaric dives .
Local ENT thinks mild inner ear barotrauma ,skipped the oral prednisone and gave me a shot of  2 mg dex into the ear - didnt work.
Tried it 2 more times over 3 weeks and nothing. Now I'm 8 weeks out from injury and I spoke to some other ENT from L.A. on the phone and he said the guy did it wrong (used too low of dose and didn't have me lying ear up for 30 min.-just shot it in and told me to get up when i was done.)
Told me to try the oral prednisone, in his opinion it was  the way to go from the start ,thinks its a long shot but might work.
Do any of the docs here think this is worth a shot this far out?
Even though the hearing loss is minor (15db) the tinnitus is unbearable and I'll try anything at this
point.
Thanks ,   A.J.

There is a neuro-otologist at Oregon Health Sciences in Portland, Dr.Sean McMenomey, phone:503-494-8135. I see his name in the book: America's Top Doctors by Castle Connolly. Good Luck!
