Neuropathy versus self mutilation

I have had neuropathy for the last 9 years.  I have been to many many doctors without help I have tried all the normal meds I've been on opiates for the last several years they change my medicine and I am in uncontrolled pain for days or weeks until it is actually controlled.   I have changed my diet done several different things I did find out in the past year that I am a diabetic.  The first eight years I did not have diabetes. My grandfather was not diabetic and he had neuropathy to the point he was in a wheelchair the last five years of his life could not wear socks could not wear shoes. I too cannot wear socks or shoes or stand to walk on my feet.I feel like I am past the point of help and I am ready to amputate myself my feet and legs below the knee are so bad I have been bedridden for several years. I have three grown children six grandbabies one in heaven ,  and one on the way. I've been married for 24 years to a loving wonderful man who helps me day and night. I cannot sustain a normal life under the conditions I am living in. I'm seeking any kind of help for this neuropathy.  Something has to change and has to be done. Thank you and I'm willing to except any kind of help. I am just at the end of my rope.
