New fracture after a spinal fusion

Hello, I had a spinal fusion done at the end of January 2012 to L1 and L3.  This was due to a fall from 30 feet.  I have been having alot of pain and pressure, so went to urgent care last night.  The doctor called me after I left, thinking everything was okay, and told me the radiologist read the xray and said that there was a fracture on L2.  Is it possible to fracture L2 when I have rods and screws in place from my fusion? If so, what do you recommend? I have a call into my surgeon now but am concerned about this new fracture now.
