Oranic brain syndrome

A Friend for the past year has been in and out of hospital, reason being, she is having seizure like episodes also looks like a patient having a stroke.  When this first happend, she would get one like one every week,  For the past few months they are happening more often, 3 maybe 4 times a week.  She goes into a daze, right before this happens she gets really bad, bad headaches, her speech becomes slure, her eyes roll, she shakes uncontrollably, she can't talk, has a hard time swallowing, these episodes last anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes, but it can continue for hours, for instead, she starts having one at 11 and has them on and off till about 1:30.   She her neurologist says what she has is called Organic Brain Syndrome, she is on all kinds of meds, takes them regularly, myself and her family is having a hard time believing that this is what she has...she has done, eeg, ekg, brain scan, spinal tap, you name it, i think they've done it i believe.  Today she was rushed to the ER onces again, I'am a little concerned that there is something else going on that they are not finding or looking at, please if anyone has had similar episodes and can shine some light that i can give to her family, can you please, please help?

My husband has the same thing. We have basically given up on the V.A. for help with it. I have discovered that putting an ice pack on the back of the neck and lower skull will help the person "come out of it" quicker. Also digging your knuckle into the sternum as if you were scratching off a scratch and lose ticket will help as well. It is painful for them when they come back but they come back. He does have to watch how he holds his head because if he leans back too far for too long it brings on another episode, also emotion has triggered it as well as in extreme happiness or anger. Just remember that they are still there even though they can not move or talk and to stay strong.
