I have this pain to the right of my median cubital vein which feels like I am donating blood. I was working out on my biceps yesterday while working out which I do 3 times a week. Whether I stretch or bend my arm does not affect the pain. I believe I have torn my lower bicep but I have never experienced what a torn muscle feels like that is similar to this. The pain arrives in pulses and causes above normal salivation in my mouth. Is it possible that a torn muscle can cause this type of pain?
Well, without a detailed clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your pain. Possibilities that may need to be considered include factures, dislocations, injuries to muscles/ ligaments/ tendons, inflammations/ degeneration, neurological/ vascular causes etc. I would suggest getting this evaluated by a primary care physician or an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. Meanwhile I would suggest resting the arm. Tylenol/ OTC NSAIDS may be helpful for pain relief.
Hope this is helpful.
