Painful sensitive skin

Over the last week or so I have had painful sensitive skin around my abdomen. Even my clothes touching the area is painful. I have not experienced this before, however I had shingles as a child but there is nothing to see on my skin and I don't feel unwell. I'm experiencing menapausal symptoms and was wondering if a change in hormones could be the cause.

Hi there!

Well, without a detailed clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your symptoms. Possibilities that may need to be considered include skin infections, inflammations, shingles, trauma/ abrasion, hormonal/ endocrine abnormalities etc. I would suggest getting this evaluated by a primary care physician initially and depending on the cause diagnosed/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!

Interesting I have had for a few days now the skin on my left lower abdomen and left side started being sensitive when I would slide hand on it, the pain in a way feels burning to sore and possibly like if you had something harsh rub it. I have not had anything like a rough or new shirt lately, any ideas??

Hi,
I had Viral Meningitis last month and now get the symptoms you are describing off and on, like the cloth that touches my skin could somehow "hurt" me... but that's what it has been feeling like for me as well. I'm betting on lymph getting backed up.  I am getting a magnetic pulser so that I can flush the lymph. Check out SOTA instruments. All I can think of is if we can somehow flush the virals from the deepest lymoh, we can be symptom free in a month and go back to being well.

The apparent pain in the skin sensitivity area in my mind could be caused my hormones as you might think due to menopause, like fibromyalgia. My suggestion to you is an old remedy that has helped me with fibromyalgic pain as well as arthritis pain, as well as pain from the Viral Meningitis I had a month ago.  Apple cider vinegar, 1/4 cup twice a day for 1-2 days and the pain should go away. Make sure you dilute it with water because the first time I tried it, it loosened up so much mucus in my throat, that I thought I was going to choke to death because I didn't dilute it.  It's a real and wonderful remedy that goes back to Ancient Egypt.

One more thing about the viral meningitis, I wanted to share.  I had a real break through yesterday.  I finally dug out my old battle axe remedies against virals and found my colloidal silver pulser.  I drank about 1.5 liters of colloidal silver with the Enhance and today, for the first time in forever, I woke up feeling well.  OK, to clarify, the ppm's were about 5-6 so it was very dilute compaired to what you purchase from the health food stores.  For those of you who want to feel better over night, I highly recommend going to amazon.com and buying a colloidal silver maker with a ppm calibrator. OK, so one of the things I think this crud does is stay in the lymph causing one to feel bad.  So, I did a little experiment.  I got on my elliptical for about 15 min., and then I could feel the pain from the virus start creeping back out in my head and neck.  So I then drank about 1/2 liter of the colloidal silver.  Then I got an ice pack and put it at the base of my skull because that's where the meningitis likes to hang out.  I laid on the for about an hour. Then I got up, drove the kids to swimming, hung out by the pool and did as little as possible.  The only side effect, other than feeling like I was 90 years old, was a terrible head ache. I went to bed, and this morning is the first time I have felt normal in a month. For those of you feeling courageous, read up on colloidal silver and definetly try the ice pack!

Try Neosporin cream, worked immediately to stop pain and in 2 days no more pain. I do believe was shingles but no rash. Neosporine is for pain and inflammation
