Post Concussion
Hey..
On June 25th 2009 i was in a car crash and got post concussion, had whip lash as well as takin about 4 blows to the head. (ie Hitting it on the frame of the car.) Went to ER. Been to 2 neurologists and all they seem to do is prescribe me pills. I have seem to notice i have memory loss. its really emotionally getting to me as well as effecting my job. I work in a resturant. For example i will ask the guest if they would like a wine list and then ask if they would like to be seated inside or outside and then not remember if they wanted a wine list or even remember asking them.. Another Example I would take someones order by the time there done i cnt remember a thing i nearly burst out crying because it was soooooooooo frustrating.. how long should this last... From june iv have headaches everyday.. what should i do? =( also i always feel VERY tired. i would go to sleep at 12am wake up at 9am by 1pm im reallll tired again. Please give me your advice. My daughter has the same type of things going on, after her head injury. Look up PCS, post concussion syndrome, that's what her dr. said for her to do. It has a lot of answers to your questions. I know it does'nt help tp hear that what you are going through is "normal" but just the same it probably is the only answer you are going to get. Good Luck!!! Ask if they did an mri of the brain..... but be as diplomatic as possible bc NLs do not like to be told what to do! They are worse than Neurosurgeons! Explain to him how bad the memory is getting and that it has only been since the accident! Be firm and if he will not help you go to a different dr.!
Yes. They did an mri of my c spin? and i dont have a regular doctor... im still with my neurologist... i have to go back to him october 6th for a check up and to see how the new pills he put me on are working. iv also had Ct scans and stuff.
Did they do an MRI? If they did not go to your regular doc and ask him to order one since the NL is not helping
