Pressure

How is everyone doing? My name is Thomas and I am 19 years old. The past month or so I had trouble breathing due to what the doctor believed was Gerd. I have been perscribed Prilosec and an allergy relief medecine to help rid myself of Gerd. Now that the breathing has slowly been subsiding, another issue if it even is one started occuring. It feels as if I am dizzy and feels as if there is pressure behind my eyes. I dont get headachs or anything like that, but it feels as if I am always tired. I am just worried that it is something bad. Please help. Thanks Tom.

i stopped taking the prilosec because i think it has something to do with some side effects of the pill. I am not as lightheaded today but now it feels as if i got hit in the chest with a brick and my neck hurts along with a headache. are these typical for getting off the pill or would it have something to do with something else that is wrong? Thanks Tom

i had my blood work done about a two weeks ago and my doctor said everything came out alright. i have gone up in elevation from living in a valley to know going to school on a hill. sometimes it seems as if my eyes are really dry and that they get blurry every so often. do you think it has something to do with allergies?

Have you had recent changes in the air pressure due to the weather where you live?

What are the side effects of your allergy medicine?

If you are thinking about taking something for anxiety, then make sure your doctor knows you are on Prilosec.

Have you got an appointment to see about sinus, blood sugar, etc?

i have been to the optemetrist and everything checked out fine. the only thing i really dont understand is this whole lightheadedness and the pressure along with headaches just started a few days ago. I do agree with you on the whole stress thing becuase when something is wrong with me I dwell on the issue. I sometimes make it worse than it is. the doctor also thought i had high levels of anexity but i am really not sure as to what he is saying. As well if I think about what is wrong I start to have panic attacks and then I get really tired after they have gone. I really dont know what is wrong with me and the thing that worries me the most is it would be something big like a life or death thing. Sounds stupid but thats how i feel. i Just have not felt like myself for about a month now and my confidence level gets worse everyday. Thanks for listening, and all the help. Tom

Could be down to anxiety and stress.

I have had similar pressure behind the eyes and in the head and have it right now as we speak. I have had it on and off since early may. Mine started after the doctors and optemetrist strating putting lights in my eyes, before that I had never had any pain or problems in my eyes. Sound stupid to a medical pro. but I am telling you I had never had anything like this before then. It was a routine check with a doctor that flagged something in my eyes that needed an optemetrists view. I am fine and nothing is wrong but the pressure and headache is doing my head in.

Have you been to your optemetrist? He can do an IOP to rule out galucoma, thats the main thing you should be worried about. If you have had this issue for a while and no vision problems you are probably experiencing headaches that are stress and anxiety related.

2 of my doctors think I might have MS, but they told me to if problems get worse they will get my a CT/MRI.

Would this also cause like a lightheaded feeling? sometimes as well it feels as if my body is here but my mind is in a different world. It is hard to describe how I feel but I am just wondering if that would still be considered as the same issue. Thanks again Tom

Hi, this could be related with sinusitis, do you often get cold or cough? Try anti histaminics, decongestants, antibiotic along with steam inhalation for a week or so. CT PNS is the investigation of choice for diagnosing sinusitis.

Also get blood pressure checked  and blood sugar done.
