Psuedo tumor-stalled puberty

My son was born with posterior fossa arachnoid cyst it was very large required vp shunt.. By age 10 shunt disabled cyst had collapsed @ age 11 he had developed Chiari malformation that required decompression... Age 13 developed pseudo tumor I believe it to be secondary his neurologist and neurosurgeons for the most part either say unknown if it is or could be only one will say of course it is.. His psuedo tumor went undiagnosed for I don't know how long at the time of diagnoses he had been being treated for severe migraine for over a week ... He's had severe migraines all his life, and off and on shoulder and neck pain dizziness at times... This time has all those symptoms crossed eyes confusion he was literally walking into walls, passing out eyes wide open but unfocused and blank , has worn glasses most of his life but lost most of his color vision and has had some vision loss due to pseudo tumor he also had trouble speaking for a short time and lost use of his legs for about 8 months.. He is now 16 and doing well he was on diamox and sodium bicarbonate from 07/2013 to 01/2016 after icp monitor showed no high pressure he was weened off his meds.. He developed pseudo tumor just as puberty was kicking in.. He seems to be stuck in same stage of puberty as when this all began.. Also no matter how hard he tries he cannot lose weight he at gym 4-5 days s week and seriously working out and watching what and how much he eats he seems to gain weigh no matter what we do.. Thyroid has been tested and it working great... I am afraid tho that being under high pressure for that long may have damaged his pituitary gland and he may never complete puberty he's been to endocrine dr and his reg dr and neurologist all say not to worry he just late developing.. I believe tho puberty stalled because of pressure... Please forgive any typos I've been up al night looking for answers ....not a lot of answers out there for boys with this disease
Thank you
