RED HANDS WHEN CLIMBING STAIRS

I would like to know why as soon as I start climbing stairs my hands start turning very red as soon as I raise my hands above my head they go back to their natural color does anyone have an answer

My son has red hands all the time.  When he exercises, they turn bright red. The only way to make them normal color is to raise them.

This has just started happening to my 13 y/o daughter.  Her hands are also hot when lowered, and sometimes a bit swollen and itchy. I notice the back of her calves look a bit splotchy.
