I am hoping you can provide some information as to how quickly or slowly nerves regenerate. I have heard "one inch per month" and also "one inch per year". I realize this is not an exact science, but your comments would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Thanks for your question. The most commonly used "number" is aproximately
one inch per month, but it is more reliable for short distances (up to 4-5
inches). Once the distance becomes larger, the regenerating nerves will
quite often innervate an incorrect target.
