Right arm and leg numbness, back, neck, shoulder pain

I'm suffering from serious neck, shoulder and upper back pain with regular right arm numbness. My back pain problems escalate when I lift heavy items (unfortunately it's part of my job), and my right arm numbness happens multiple times a day, especially when I'm laying down, sleeping (even if I sleep on my left side or on my back) and when I'm seated, especially if I have anything in my right hand like my phone or a cup of coffee for an extended amount of time (over couple of minutes). I had an MRI done and it showed  herniation between c4 and c5 discs and between c5 and c6 discs, and spondylosis however the herniation is to the left side.  My neurologist said it is probably from the herniation and he refered me to a neuro surgen however the neuro surgen said it should be causing me symptoms on my left side only and not on my right side and he told me I probably have some sort of shoulder problem but he isn't sure. So he doesn't know why my arm keeps going numb, he just told me go swimming and see if it gets better. I already swim almost every day, and it doesn't help.  (This numbness keeps waking me up about  4-5 times a night, and happens during the day about the same amount of time, so it's seriously bothers me). My symptoms now are going on for over 2 and half months with little improvement painwise as I try to stay away from lifting as much as I can and I swim regularly however the arm numbness didn't improve at all. I also experience numbness in my right leg time to time when I lay down or sit, but way less often than with my arm, but its always the right leg, never the left. I'm not sure if these can be connected.
Could herniated discs cause this, even if they are herniated to the left side or could something else be behind this? I gonna see another neurologist end of the month and also start physiotherapy but I'm very puzzled by the answers I got from the doctors. Anyone had any similar experience before or have an idea what can be going on with me? I'm in my 20s with no serious medical conditions.
