SPEP/IPEP- Now I'm really scared!!!!

I had 9 tubes of blood taken today, the above blood test was one of 6 different ones, when I looked this up, its to test for all kinds of stuff like, Leukemia, Lupus, Multiple Myeloma, etc..  Now I'm really scared.  If these come back normal she wants to do a LP.  Anyone know anything about this specific test?  Thanks

I know it has been YEARS since your post.  However, I have just found it.  I am having the same tests ordered and I wanted to see if you were still active on this forum.  I wondered if you could give me any insight on what to expect from these tests, and what you found out.

Its good to have all the blood test done to rule out disorders.

A LP is a lumbar puncture or spinal tap.Done by the right DR they are relatively painless.They are checking the spinal fluids .The fluid can rule out many disorders.
