Scoliosis and Neurological Issues?

Can you please clarify for me what neurological issues may present themselves with scoliosis? Also, what testing should be done. At present all testing has been x-rays. Should an MRI or Catscan be done.

My daughter has been diagnosed and treated for idopathic sooliosis. However she has a cousin who died from spina bifida and a great aunt who passed away from ALS.
I want to ensrue adequate testing and screeing are done.
Thanks you.

I have a slight scoliosis and arnold-chiari malformation.  I had surgery about a month ago on the chiari.

I would suggest to talk to your daughter's doctor about getting an MRI just to make sure.

Hello.

Is the scoliosis severe ? There are certain neurological conditions known to be associated with scoliosis, such as spinal muscular atrophy, syrinx formation and arnold-chiari malformation.

How old is your daughter ? Does she have any active problems due to scoliosis ?
