VP Shunts and Massage Therapy

Is massage therapy contraindicated for someone who has a vp shunt?

Yes, they sure can. HOWEVER, you must see a professional, certified massage therapist and make them aware of the shunt. Then they must take great care not to interfere or disturb it (which they should know how to do). They can be very effective at alleviating pain.
