Seizure, pain behind the ear and feeling hot inside the ear

My wife has been  complaining of pain behind the ear (pain radiating towards the shoulders) for the last one ear. Six months back she had one severe episode and for an hour or so was incoherent. She was treated with migraine medication. That didn't help ease her pain. A neurologist diagnosed it as occipital neuralgia and prescribed medication. That also didn't help. About 3 months back she had a seizure episode and was in hospital for about a week. She has been on anti seizure medication since then. She has visited neurologists, dentists, ents, opthalmologists and dentists trying to find the reason. The MRIs don't indicate any abnormalities. Still no answers. Any pointers?
