Serotonin Syndrome long term effects and SSRI use after a Serotonin Diagnosis

I was given Celexa when I was 15, I overdosed on it and was admitted to the hospital with Serotonin Syndrome. I was told to avoid taking SSRI in the future. Now I am 33, I have been diagnosed with Postpartum Anxiety. I went to my OB and GP and they both sent me to a psychiatrist because of the Serotonin Syndrome and the fact that I'm breast feeding to get put on medication to manage my PPA. The psychiatrist told me there was no risk of taking an SSRI now. However, all the research and every medical professional I have seen since my overdose has marked it in my chart and made it clear I cannot take them. My first question is 1) Who is right the new doctor or everyone I have seen in the past who has noted it as something to be aware of and avoid and 2) Should I report the Dr. who tried to give me the SSRI if she is wrong?
