Hi, possibly it is rheumatoid arthritis which is an autoimmune disorder associated with swollen and tender small joints. This condition is usually seen in females. Investigations like ESR, RF, ANA in blood and X ray joints are done to come to diagnosis.
Treatment involves anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen, paracetamol, aspirin etc, hot compressions, physiotherapy and later in disease some disease modifying drugs like steroids etc. Relax, this disease is quite manageable. Thanks but yeah hes been tested for that a cpl times most dr's tell us to goto mayo clinic the only pain med that even touches it so he can walk or move is fentnayl and he hates taken meds but we lost insurance and the actiq is over just 2 let ya kno the pain..
