Shakey feeling of electricity flowing through body, not RLS, Please help !

Okay, I will start from the beginning. December (week before Xmas) I was admitted with viral phenomia, I just was sick for 3 or 4 days and I finally got up and
went to the emergency room when I was unable to breathe. 3 days of breathing treatments, 2 kinds of antibiotics, my oxygen blood level I think was 70 something climbed back into the 90's they
released me.  Something happened in the hospital that 1st day, it was like I was freaking out, sweaty one minute, cold the next, sometimes I would have to yank the tubes out of my nose and go splash
water on my face. I wanted to get out of that hospital in the worse way, I would cry like a little baby, I did

Hi mike :) I  am a 24 years old and believe me I had those symptoms too- My body goes from cold to hot, AWFUL!!! cramps on my legs and arms with some tingling buzzing sensations going on, chronique muscle pain, lack of concentration, fatigue, palpitations, insomnia, numbness, migraine and headaches, sensation of lump in my throat-Unfortunately for me, doctors still can't put the finger on it despite many reasearche on my blood test, my thyroid and so on.
Now they want to refer me to a consellor. They all think that im going crazy!!! Which i know it's not true.
Im desperate at this stage to be honest with you.
I hope you've a cure to your illness very soon xxxx

I had the same thing.I had a perfect circle on my leg ...Lyme disease doesn't always have a bullseye! I have the electricitysensation and neurological symptoms and messed up cold and hot symptoms as well and not able to feel heat sometimes.....they are checking me for lyme.i had leptosprosis last year wich resembles lyme...plus a motoraccident...and since than never became normal lately my symptoms match yours.....have all possible checkups for spyrochetediseases like lyme or lepto..this affects your nervous system and hearrtbeat everything.....it can also bring about depression and anxiety attacs!!
antibiotics are the cure(doxycycline)or citrocidal wich is grapefruitextract is helpfull too....you could also try a homeopatic nosode  for these diseases and see if you react to that.....it helps to cure it....good luck!I most important, see a doctor...they are mostly not very helpful but you need your blood checked for these diseases ,even if it is so hard to find.....they must try....know how helpless you must feel since I was in three hospitals last year and ignored by people around who didn't understand ........they even thought I was having a panic disorder when my full system failed.....and lost one of my vocal cords in this struggle......still, keep up the faith and never give up!!!

I was diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis 7/1/09. My symptoms are very much like MS. In a way it is like a one time MS attack.  Back in 1/09 I got a cold and two weeks later I was having odd neurological problems .It took 6 months to find a doctor that didnt think I was crazy.  He could not believe that no one had figured it out sooner. I had a mild case because I did not loose the abillity to walk.Do not give up! Go to doctors until you find one that listens.

I think thousands of us ahve gone through this..Especially after a virus hits your
body...I was hit with a terrible virus in March 2008...for almost a year and half
I have been searching for answers..I had: burning feet, horrific leg pains,
dry twitching eyes..I have had every test and been to the top Neurologist in the country.
No one can find anything wrong..So, it really comes to a couple of things that
make you miserable that do not show up in tests, and that is either Fibro, or
Post Viral Syndrome..I believe I have Post Viral...I am better than I was, but not
100%..It takes alot of time, and a Pain Mgt Dr that respects you and truly wants
to see you better..I decided to get off most drugs and now Im just on Tramadol
and I just had my 3rd Epidural Injection..For 5 weeks I was pain free..I hope this one
works as well...It gives you a breather to get you emotionally set to fight on..
Dont give up..You are NOT crazy!  If you see one DR that does not treat you with
respect then walk out and find another..I highly reccommend getting your own
"team" together to get you through this..You WILL get better..Time will do it..
All you need to do id find the best meds while you wait ..You might have to play with
several drugs, but if you dont get relief, dont keep hanging in there...
Good Luck..You'll be fine!  Miserable now, but you'll be better!

Here's another nice dead end for you:  Fibromyalgia.  I, too, experience all that which you have experienced.  I, too, am frustrated.  I'm taking Lyrica (again, after a time off...) and hoping for the best!  I wish you well!

I've been having this since Jr. High years...I'm now 42.  Just rest, eat right, limit carbs, exercise when you can, and check out all the fibro web sites for info and support.  Some doctors are supportive, some aren't.  Check with a rheumatologist for your best bet.

Best wishes!

I have a lot of the same symtoms. It all started after I had my last child. They told me that if you have underlying illnesses that a major event like child birth can trigger it. They have doscovered that I have a blood disorder that makes my blood clot and they are also testing me for MS. If they can rule out MS they are going to diagnose me with Fibrmyalgia. That is the hardest part. You have chronic pain and shakes no one can see. No one can see what you are going through and it is hard to treat. There is no test for it. They just have to rulle everything else out. I have been dealing with this for almost a year now. I do know how you feel!!! If they suspect Fibromyalgia, try Lyrica. It takes a couple of days to get used to it (you might feel drunk at first but it goes away), so don't give up on it. If you get the right dose, it does help!! I just want you to know that you are not alone in "going crazy." Be active in your care and ask lots and lots of questions.

hi my name is doug and i have a lot of theses symtoms also, here they are, it started with a buzzing in my legs and all theses bizzare symptoms followed ... burning legs and feet .. pains in my muscles like pulling after a workout .. and a popping in my legs like popcorn nerve twitches, then it started to hit my digestive system, pains in my stomach and periods of diarrhea and the feel of electricity in my lower body, chronic fatigue and weight loss, i went to a infectious disease dr and had extensive blood work done and all was negative , stool samples negative, i feel as if i am going crazy here . Visited a nuerologist and he is baffled so now has done nerve conduction tests and an mri for which i am waiting on the results, i feel for you all who have this and i am scared that they will not find the problem.

I know how you feel!!! I have the same thing! My doctor can't figure it out either. It's an awful, vibrating feeling deep within my bones. Then my heart pounds and if I stand up I will faint. I get it often when I have abdominal discomfort. I wish there was someone who knows what this feeling is. The MOST awful part is no one can SEE what's happening. You FEEL shaky, but you' not shaking! I always feel like no one believes me because they can't see the tremor things happening. It's the WORST in the mornings for me.

Hey Mike mb it's possible your brains are over worked. Time and rest can create miracles. Also too much medication and side effects. They  gave me way too many  mets when i was feeling so ill, the only  thing i was fighting with at the end were the side effects it was driving me insane! Start with a real holiday! Deep in yourself y ou must know where it's coming from. The little circle you were talking about i had them to, it will go away  in a while. Be aware all situations are different! Hope you be well
