Sharp head pain when coughing or bending

I am 64 yr old female. After 3 days of intense physical activity moving my elderly mother and clearing out her home I developed a headache and mid back pain. Bending over, coughing, sneezing, etc causes an explosion of pain in back of head that takes a few minutes to ease, leaving dull headache. Never experienced anything like it. Saw doctor who ordered CT scan which was normal including sinuses. However the next day my ears became full, light buzzing, amplified "in a barrel" sensation. Little shooting pains in back of neck. Cervical xrays showed mild degenerative arthritis at base of C2, but not considered to be the cause of intense head pain. I was prescribed prednisone 2 20mg tablets for 3 days, then 1 for 2 days then 1/2 tablet for 2 days. ......this morning was my 3rd day and while I feel somewhat better I still have ache in back of head when bending, rising, coughing etc.  I am to be scheduled next week for a physical therapist for head and agonizing mid back pain.  I don't really have a question. Guess I'm wondering if there is hope for this agony to end?
