Sharp pains on the top of my head

For about a week now I have had some sharp pains on the top of my head. Mostly on the right side. Sometime pain in the back of my head also. My whole head feels fuzzy or I get a stinging sensation. My doctor is setting up a ct but does not think it is anything serious. Pain pills do not seem to help either. Any help out there?

Hi,
Headache could be organic or non organic in nature. Non organic causes may be Stress, Fatigue, Lack of sleep. Organic headaches are symptoms of a physical condition. Some examples of organic head pain include meningitis, aneurysm, brain tumors, brain abscesses, and brain injury. A persistent sharp headache must never be ignored. Please go for a CT scan or MRI of the brain and consult a neurologist for diagnosis and treatment. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
