MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there.  These symptoms are suggestive of tremors, which is an involuntary shaking movement. These could be resting or intentional, postural when holding the arm. Essential tremor is the most important cause. Other possible causes are drugs, prescribed medicines, brain, nerve or movement disorder, alcoholism, low blood sugar, muscle fatigue, stress, anxiety, overactive thyroid, too much caffeinated drinks, multiple sclerosis and parkinson’s disease. you could try relaxation techniques, meditation, avoid caffeine, sleep well, abstain from alcohol etc. consult a neurologist if the tremor is worse at rest, prolonged and is associated with headaches, weakness, muscle tightening etc. you may need to undergo certain tests like complete blood count, differential, thyroid function, glucose test. EMG or nerve conduction studies, MRI head or urine testing. You need to recall if you are on any prescription drugs, which could be responsible. Therapy would be according to the cause. Take care.
